It's almost the end of the month, which means that it's almost time for us to send our publishers their payments. We know you're eagerly waiting for your check or EFT deposit to pay your bills, so we'd like to answer some questions you may have and clarify what to expect over the next few weeks. Will I be sent a payment this month? You can check to see whether you're eligible for a payment at the end of July. Just visit your Payment History page, set the date range to 'All time', and find the amount in the 'Monthly balance' column corresponding to June. If this number is greater than $100 and you removed all holds from your account before July 15th, you're eligible for a payment at the end of this month. Can you give me an actual 'end of the month' date? Unfortunately, we can't. You may sometimes see that your payment is issued on the 23rd of the month, and at other times on the 29th. You may have heard that we're committed to doing business in environmentally friendly ways at Google. As an AdSense publisher, you can help in these efforts by signing up to receive your AdSense payments via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). EFT payments eliminate the paper required to print and send you your check, since they're deposited directly in your bank account just days after they're posted to your Payment History page. There's another advantage: you'll have access to your payments sooner. EFT is the fastest and greenest payment option available, and signing up is simple. Get your banking details ready and simply follow the steps in our Help Center . Currently, EFT is available to publishers in these countries . However, please know that we're working to offer EFT in more regions, and we'll be sure to announce any updates here. As you may know, one of the steps to receiving your first payment is to verify a Personal Identification Number (PIN) . We'll send this PIN via standard postal mail once your earnings have reached $50, and then you'll need to enter it into the PIN Information Page of your account. Many concerned publishers ask whether they'll need to complete the PIN process more than once -- such as before receiving every check, or every time they generate $50 in earnings. Fortunately, the answer is no. You'll only need to enter in a PIN once per account, and we'll send it to you the first time you reach $50 in earnings. If you've reached $50 in earnings and haven't yet entered in your PIN, you'll see a box at the top of your Payment History page labeled 'Required Action'. 2007 is officially here, and now that you've finished sweeping up the confetti and setting New Year's resolutions, you may be thinking about how you're going to report your 2006 taxes. April 15th is just around the corner, so we'd like to give you some information on AdSense tax reporting. As required by U.S. tax law, we'll send IRS forms 1099 and 1042-S to qualifying publishers. To determine whether you are a qualifying publisher and if you should expect to receive one of these forms, please review the criteria in our Help Center . These tax forms were mailed on January 31st, so any forms sent to you should arrive during February. As a reminder, checks dated in 2006 will be reported in 2006. This means that unpaid earnings from 2006 that are rolled over to 2007 will not be included. For example, December earnings which are paid in January 2007 will not be included as earnings for 2006. If you've glanced at your Payment History page today, you might've noticed that it's been revamped with a whole new look. Don't worry -- all of your previous payment data is still available and our payment process hasn't changed. We've simply updated the layout to make it easier to keep track of the financial activity in your account, and most importantly, help you determine when you can expect your next payment. You'll now find your earnings and payments divided into two separate columns so you can better distinguish between them. Clicking on any details link will give you more information about the noted Earnings or Payment event. For example, the details link associated with a payment will show you the payment number, amount, date, and depending on your form of payment, the tracking number . As you might know from our Payments Guide , one of the steps to getting paid is submitting your tax information. We've recently updated the Tax Information page located under your My Account tab with a new format that we hope will make it easier to determine which form is right for you. Also, you'll now be able to see when your information was last saved so that you can make sure all updates have been recorded in our system. Every publisher's tax situation is different, but we aren't able to provide any tax advice. To help determine what's right for you, we recommend walking through the tax wizard in your account or visiting our Help Center for additional help. When your AdSense account reaches US $50, keep your eyes peeled for a PIN in the post. Before we can send you a payment, we'll send you a PIN. Your PIN is short for your Personal Identification Number, and it's your key to verifying your AdSense account so that you can receive payments. Once you've entered your PIN in your account and your account balance reaches US $100, you'll be all clear for payment, provided you've removed all other holds from your account. If you've reached US $50 in earnings, you can check when your PIN was generated by visiting your Payment History page and clicking the Please enter your PIN link. PINs are typically mailed 3-5 days after they're generated. They're sent by standard mail and usually take between 2-4 weeks to arrive.
